REGA ENERGY Group is a renewable energy company based in Portugal, dedicated to accelerating the advent of a sustainable industry by supporting energy-intensive industries decarbonise.

REGA develops, finances, builds and operates biomethane and green hydrogen plants, supplying industrial companies and intensive energy consumers with locally produced renewable gases, replacing imported fossil fuels (natural gas and petcoke).

We aim for an independent market solution with decarbonization as a key business imperative.

Our motto is simple: if you cannot electrify, try harder. We complement solutions to electrification – specifically biomethane, green hydrogen and green oxygen.

Our business model offers price and supply stability and security, avoiding market disruptions and volatility – a crucial advantage, especially for companies which are intensive energy consumers.

REGA ENERGY currently operates in Portugal.

With headquarters in Lisbon, we have anchor points in Coimbra and Porto to be closer to our customers.

In controlling the full value chain of our projects, we can ensure maximum efficiency and predictability.  Our Green Hydrogen Valleys and Biomethane projects will increase energy security, directly impacting a fossil energy consumption of over 2 TWh/year, representing over 2% of all-natural gas currently consumed in the country.
